| PEDALHEAD PEROGY XC RACE: JULY 8TH |
We're very excited to announce that we're the new hosts of one of Alberta's favourite mountain bike races -- the Perogy XC!
This year's race takes place on Sunday, July 8th at Sunridge Ski Area and we're working on making the course(s) friendly for riders of all abilities. Whether you're a pro-elite or have never raced before, we're working to hard to make this race something you'll enjoy!

VOLUNTEERS: We're looking for volunteers to help out. If you're able to lend a hand in exchange for a perogy lunch and prizes, drop an email to pedalheadchris@shaw.ca.

| CHOOSING THE PROPER TIRES |
Perhaps the most overlooked but most affordable upgrade you can make to your bike is better tires. By better, we don't mean more expensive or higher quality, but rather a tire better suited to your needs.
Finding your proper balance of speed, traction and durability could take months of testing, or could be as simple as asking our experienced staff. We'll ask you a few questions and narrow down your tire choices to the best available. A simple tire change will make a huge difference to the way you ride. |

What does "Women's Specific" mean? It means a lot more than the paint job reveals!
Shorter Top Tube
This is the big one. Shortening the top tube of the bike addresses the biggest complaint women have about "unisex" bikes -- the long reach to the handlebars. This allows for a more comfortable and confidence-inspiring riding position.
Women's Saddle
Slightly wider and shorter, these are made to fit female sit bones. Adds comfort and improves ride quality.
Narrower Handlebars
Narrower shoulders means narrower bars. This has numerous benefits, including better steering and improved comfort.
