Pedalhead's entered a new era recently, as we've moved into the Out of Bounds Ski and Snowboard building. We now have more than double our old floorspace, and amazing parking in front and behind our shop. We'll still have space to show you bikes and bike accessories in the winter, however most of the store will switch back to ski and snowboard gear. Our new home is only a 10 minute ride to the trails, easy to get to, and offers us plenty of room to grow further.

While our address may have changed, our philosophy hasn't: Offer customers only the products that we personally would use; focus on high-quality cycling equipment and above all, promote fun on bikes. What other shop offers weekly group rides organized and guided by their staff...FOR FREE? We do because we ride and we want you to have fun and ride. Pedalhead is constantly pushing the envelope of getting you out on your bike to have a good time.

Anyone can talk the talk, but it's a different story when it comes to walking the walk. Our love of cycling has motivated us to host and organise the 2001 Canadian National Cyclocross Championships, host the 2002 MTB Canada Cup Calgary, host/organise/chair the 2005 World Master Games Road Race, host/organise the 2006 Alberta Criterium Championships, host/organise the 2007 Pedalhead Alberta Cup MTB race #2(trial event for the Western Canada Summer Games), host/organise the 2008 Alberta Cyclocross Provincial Championships, sponsor/volunteer at the Cerebral Palsy Assc "Great Stationary Bike Race" 2002 thru 2007, organise over 40 different teams to compete at the 24 Hours of Adrenalin in Canmore, organise over 150 Wednesday Night Group Rides, and hold positions like President, Race Committee Chair, Member at Large within the Alberta Bicycle Association. Whew!

We have grown to offer a casual organized race-club, "learn to ride off-road" clinics, weekly group rides, bus-trip style mountain bike trips, and sanctioned races organized and run by the crew at Pedalhead. And not only will Pedalhead be there, we want to help you participate as well.

Pedalhead's product lines follow this commitment to having fun off-road. With lines like Giant, Norco, Gary Fisher, Scott, Race Face, Oakley, Dakine, Fox, Sidi and other top-notch gear, it's easy to see that we're serious about our customers being satisfied with their mountain biking experience.

With all Pedalhead's efforts to promote cycling and stellar products, we still maintain the "2% bikes, 98% funky stuff" attitude we started with. What we're saying is that the Pedalhead crew is a laid-back, enthusiastic bunch. When we race or ride, it's not necessary to win, but rather escape the little boxes we work in and enjoy the amazing outdoors that our country has to offer.

Nordic skiing is somewhat new to Pedalhead, but has been in our blood for quite some time. In 2004  Pedalhead began selling XC ski gear in Edmonton and has expanded its' offerings each year since. Staff and members of our Club have been skiing for fitness and fun for years,  so it was a natural fit for us to offer nordic equipment to our customers. We now organise skate and classic lessons through the store and plan on introducing ski racing to our schedule of events.
